Armenian ceramics by Mane Brutents
My name is Mane Brutents and I am a designer-ceramist. Almost all of my ceramic work has an armenian motif with minimalistic and simple shapes. My latest collection called « 11° » with an armenian calligraphy recently – bowls, plates and vases with armenian poems(rhymes).
Handcrafted ceramics full of Armenian spirit
Brutents – my ancestors surname which means in Armenian Brut – a ceramicist and Brut +ents – one’s relation to that generation. My ancestors in Syuniq, in the city of Goris have been ceramicists.
Perhaps my passion for ceramics is connected with my roots, ancestors and perhaps it’s not. But what I know for sure is that I’m doing my beloved work that’s why it seems to have a soul and beauty in it.
